Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Upon arrival in Tanzania, you will be greeted by our friendly team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Relax and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
After breakfast, we will drive to Londorossi Gate to begin our trek. The trail winds through the rainforest, offering glimpses of wildlife and exotic flora. Our camp for the night is Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Today, we ascend to Shira 1 Camp, crossing into the Shira Plateau. The views of the surrounding peaks are stunning, and the rugged terrain will challenge and inspire you.
Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Moir Hut
As we continue our journey, we pass through the alpine desert, marveling at the unique plants and rock formations. Our camp for the night is Moir Hut, with views of the glaciers on Kilimanjaro’s summit.
Day 5: Moir Hut to Pofu Camp
Today’s trek takes us through the Lava Tower and down into the Barranco Valley. The scenery is dramatic and varied, providing endless photo opportunities. Our camp for the night is Pofu Camp.
Day 6: Pofu Camp to Buffalo Camp
We ascend the Barranco Wall, a challenging but rewarding climb with breathtaking views. Our camp for the night is Buffalo Camp, nestled in a peaceful valley.
Day 7: Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp
Today’s trek takes us through the Karanga Valley, with its rocky terrain and stunning vistas. Our camp for the night is Third Cave Camp, where we rest and prepare for the final push to the summit.
Day 8: Third Cave Camp to School Hut
We ascend to School Hut, our base camp for the summit attempt. The air is thin, but our spirits are high as we prepare for the ultimate challenge.
Day 9: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak
Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for – summit day! We rise early and begin our ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro. The views from the summit are unparalleled, and the sense of accomplishment is indescribable.
Day 10: Descend to Mweka Gate
After celebrating our successful summit, we begin our descent to Mweka Gate. The lush rainforest envelops us once more as we bid farewell to Kilimanjaro.
