Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Welcome to Tanzania! Your adventure begins with a warm greeting at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be transferred to your hotel in Moshi where you can relax and prepare for your upcoming climb.
Day 2: Moshi to Rongai Gate
After a hearty breakfast, we will drive to the Rongai Gate, where your Kilimanjaro trek officially begins. You will meet your experienced guides and porters as you start your journey towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
Day 3: Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
Today’s trek takes you through lush rainforest before reaching Simba Camp, where you will spend the night. Enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way as you acclimatize to the altitude.
Day 4: Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp
As you continue your ascent, the landscape changes to moorland with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Tonight, you will stay at Kikelewa Camp, surrounded by the beauty of Kilimanjaro.
Day 5: Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn Camp
Today’s trek brings you closer to Mawenzi Peak as you make your way to Mawenzi Tarn Camp. Enjoy the breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings as you prepare for the final push to the summit.
Day 6: Mawenzi Tarn Camp to Kibo Hut
Your final day of climbing takes you to Kibo Hut, the last stop before the summit. Rest and fuel up for the challenging climb ahead, as you prepare for the most memorable part of your journey.
Day 7: Summit Day!
Today is the day you have been waiting for – summit day! Start your climb in the early hours of the morning to reach Uhuru Peak in time for sunrise. Celebrate your accomplishment before descending back to base camp for a well-deserved rest.
