Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly team and transferred to your hotel in Moshi. Take this day to relax and prepare for your exciting adventure ahead.
Day 2: Moshi to Shira Camp
After breakfast, we will drive to the Londorossi Gate where our trek begins. We will hike through the lush rainforest until we reach the Shira Plateau. Enjoy stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro along the way. Overnight at Shira Camp.
Day 3: Shira Camp to Moir Hut
Today, we will trek through the alpine desert zone to Moir Hut, where we will camp for the night. Keep an eye out for unique flora and fauna that thrive in this harsh environment.
Day 4: Moir Hut to Lava Tower
Our trek continues as we ascend to Lava Tower, a volcanic rock formation that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. We will then descend to Barranco Camp for our overnight stay.
Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Today’s trek takes us through the famous Barranco Wall, a challenging climb that rewards us with stunning vistas. We will then make our way to Karanga Camp, where we will spend the night.
Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
We will trek to Barafu Camp, our final stop before the summit push. Take this day to rest and prepare for the challenging climb ahead. Enjoy a hearty meal and get a good night’s sleep.
Day 7: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Today is the big day! We will start our summit push in the early hours of the morning, reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your accomplishment before descending to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
