Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi for a pre-climb briefing and equipment check.
Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
We start our trek at the Machame Gate, hiking through lush rainforest to the Machame Camp. Keep an eye out for exotic wildlife along the way!
Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Today, we ascend through the heath and moorland zone, enjoying stunning views of the Shira Plateau. We’ll camp at Shira Camp for the night.
Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp
As we continue our ascent, we’ll pass through the alpine desert zone and traverse the lava tower before descending to Barranco Camp for the night.
Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Today’s trek takes us through the famous Barranco Wall, a challenging yet rewarding climb. We’ll then continue to Karanga Camp for our overnight stay.
Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
We push towards the summit today, ascending to Barafu Camp at the base of Uhuru Peak. Rest up for the final push to the summit!
Day 7: Summit Day! Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
We start our summit bid in the early hours, reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise for breathtaking views. We then descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Our final day on the mountain takes us through the rainforest to Mweka Gate, where we’ll celebrate our achievement before transferring back to Moshi.
